TAP 2nd Shift Continuous Improvement Leader *For Current Greenheck Employees Only*

General
Summary:

Provide leadership, innovation, motivation, and technical support to assigned department and, as needed, throughout all manufacturing operations to achieve corporate financial goals by assuring continuous improvement through the implementation of lean manufacturing techniques.
Facilitate the improvement of overall manufacturing operations efficiency with department personnel, supervisors, and managers, utilizing the principles and tools associated with lean manufacturing.

Principal Duties &
Responsibilities:

  • Work closely with Production Supervisors and Team Leaders to ensure the department s development in continuous improvement activities.
  • Provide direct leadership and support for 5S+1.
  • Support Daily Management, answer questions, and assist with shop floor opportunities.
  • Support and develop best practices and make sure they are consistently applied throughout the department and across shifts.
  • Identify and facilitate Pit stop events.
  • Instruct and develop training initiatives to support manufacturing.
  • Provide technical expertise and leadership for manufacturing process improvements and equipment.
  • Identify and implement improvements to material utilization, plant layouts and machinery efficiency.
  • Apply and communicate Lean principles to optimize quality, productivity, on-time delivery, and operational efficiencies resulting in improved customer satisfaction.

Job
Qualifications:

Work requires an advanced level of knowledge in a manufacturing process and lean principles, or an Associate s degree with equivalent work experience.
Minimum 2-5 years of experience in a manufacturing environment is preferred.

  • Competent knowledge of lean manufacturing
  • Professional written and interpersonal communication skills with the ability to apply common sense to carry out instructions.
  • Strong process orientation:
    Detail oriented, logical and methodological approach to problem solving.
  • Ability to deal with complex problems involving multiple facets and variables in non-standardized situations.
  • Excellent organization and time management skills; the ability to work with minimal supervision while performing duties and take direction from more than one individual.

Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
